Having inspected 380 yearlings, with a short list down to 129, then that list being vetted and reduced to 102 yearlings that passed our Veterinarian on Physical Inspections, X-Rays and Videoscope, it was a matter of sitting patiently as lot after lot enters and leaves the salering. We added 4 fabulous yearlings to our stable of stars on Day 4 with now 10 coming home with Team Dynamic.

Magic Millions Day 3 started the same way as the previous two trading days, as prices remained strong across the board. However, the harder you work the luckier you get, and relationships mean so much more in the thoroughbred industry than anywhere else. Working-in closely with Coolmore Stud, we often get snippets of information that are priceless and assist us in securing the best of the best for our loyal Owners. That information flow was available to us on Day 3 at the Magic Millions when we swooped.

Team Dynamic have added an awesome DYNAMIC DUO of COLTS bred to be Classics Contenders to our TERRIFIC TRIO of Day 1 purchasers, as an exciting first couple of days concluded. After two of the five days of selling, Dynamic Syndications now have 5 Wonderful Yearlings that will proudly wear our colours on the turf.

What a buoyant start the 2024 Yearling Sales Season, as the Magic Millions Sales kicked-off in amazing fashion with strong sales figures the order of the Opening Session on the Gold Coast. There were no thoughts of economic gloom as buyers ploughed into the market ensuring significant trading results were achieved by vendors as buyers chased the quality options. By the close of Day 1, from the 210 Lots catalogued, 18 Withdrawn, 163 Sold and 29 Passed-In supporting a strong clearance rate of 84.9%. The Sales realised an Average of $281,767 whilst the Median was $210,000.

What a wonderful way to close out the 2023 Calendar Year with our Dynamic Galloper JACK DUGGAN (6yo Grey Gelding by Jack Milton (USA) ex Unbridled Treasure (USA)) trained by our great mate and wonderful horseman JASON DEAMER, winning the MAYOR’S CUP over 1900m at Gosford on New Years Eve 31/12/23. His overall career record is: 24 Starts = 5 wins, 1 second, 2 thirds, 4 fourths.

A Message from CIARON MAHER: DAVID EUSTACE has taken up a great opportunity to train in Hong Kong, meaning he will be finishing up with Ciaron Maher Racing at the end of January. This is a real bittersweet moment for CMR - bitter because it will be difficult to replace someone with David’s skills and work ethic – and just a great human being. Sweet as it’s a fitting reward for David and at the same time gives us a great opportunity to continue to evolve and develop from within.

The Australian racing season is not even five months old but already 38 horses have topped $1 million in prizemoney since August 1. The Everest winner Think About It tops the list with $8.4m prizemoney, ahead of Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup hero, Without A Fight, who has won $8.2m. Golden Eagle winner Obamburumai, Fangirl and Imperatriz round out the Top 5. Seventeen horses have won more than $2m.

Dynamic Syndications Magic Millions graduate SLUSH FUND (3yo Gelding Capitalist ex Sabot) had a recent stable move to Jason Deamer at Newcastle, and the change of scenery has done the trick with our horse as he recorded a courageous all the way win under the steering of our “go- to” jockey Ash Morgan to score at the Tuncurry-Forster track. SLUSH FUND became Dynamic Syndications 299th Individual Winner from 337 Individual Runners. That’s an amazingly high strike rate of 88.7% Winners:Runners. Whilst another 31 have been placed or earned prizemoney = 97.9%. It was also our 33rd Race Win for the new 2023-24 Racing Season. Our 58th Race Win for the 2023 Calendar Year and our 861st Race Win Overall
