Newgate Farm’s dual Group 1 winner and now exciting new sire EXTREME CHOICE had a highly promising 2yo trial winner in New Zealand on Thursday at Te Teko (Rotorua) with an unnamed two-year-old colt showing abundant natural pace to win impressively. He jumped smartly to lead and although wanting to lay out around the turn, he travelled strongly to the line without being pushed along, to win his 640m heat by a length on a Heavy 11 surface.​

This week the promotion of our STAR TURN x COUNTY CORK 2yo Bay Colt with trainer GERALD RYAN and to be raced in Co-Ownership with GERRY HARVEY (25%) was fully subscribed. We subsequently discovered that we needed to cancel a proposed transaction and return to the market one (1) x 5% share (or 2 x 2.5% shares) to finalise this promotion. 5% Share Price is $7,825 inc GST and ALL COSTS from Fall of Hammer until Date of Registration. DISCOMBE ($3.70 favourite) led all the way over 1400m in the Stacks Law Firm Class 2 Handicap running 1:24.62 coming home his last 600m in 36.05 secs.
