Dynamic young trainer WILL FREEDMAN scored himself a “SCHOONER IN COONA” as our 4yo mare FRANKLY SAVVY (Savabeel x Frankly by Pins) produced her Second Career Win at her fifth race start, when leading from barriers to finishing post to claim Race 1 on the programme at Coonabarabran on Saturday afternoon at the NSW Sky2 TAB meeting. Race 1 was the aptly named “HAVE A SCHOONER IN COONA” CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (1600m).

Known as the BALLYDOYLE BULLET in his own racing days for his blistering speed, it now appears obvious that he has the ability to pass this speed into his progeny, as he produced his second winner from 6 runners, when on Tuesday in Ireland, his brilliant debutant daughter ELLIPTIC sizzled to score in a very competitive 2YO race at Tipperary. When you see the win of this debutant filly - it is self-explanatory why there is a genuine buzz about this exciting sire

The 2 day Tattersalls UK CRAVEN Breeze-Up Sale concluded overnight with 121 Lots selling for an Average 86,000 Guineas ($161,500 AUD) & a Median of 68,000 Guineas ($127,500 AUD). The star amongst the Sires was CARAVAGGIO (Scat Daddy) who has made a cracking start to his sire career, and currently leads the First Crop Sires by Earnings. Day 2 session was topped by Lot 143 a Colt by CARAVAGGIO ex BRIGHT SAPPHIRE at 240,000 Guineas this proved the second highest price paid for a colt at the sale. Five (5) CARAVAGGIO 2yo’s sold for an Average of 112,500 Guineas ($211,000 AUD) and a Median of 120,000 Guineas ($225,000 AUD).

What a different looking filly our PIERRO x TIARE is growing into, from what we purchased at the Inglis Classic Sale on the 8th February. In just 8 weeks of ownership, she has been broken-in and educated and received a glowing report from our horse educator SHANE ROSE – at Bimbadeen Park. This filly has thrived in her work, building excellent muscle as she grows and develops. Its always a major positive when a horse thrives under exercise conditions rather than falling away due to exertion.
