On Tuesday morning whilst most industry participants had headed home or to the Magic Millions Golf Day, ADAM WATT from Dynamic Syndications returned to the Sales Complex for the 14th straight day to review the 2021 Magic Millions Sales from a Dynamic Syndications perspective. Adam chats about the nine (9) horses we have added to our Dynamic Team in 2021 from the salering to wear the Dynamic Syndications silks in the seasons ahead.

No - it’s not a misprint! Dynamic Syndications late on Monday afternoon at the Magic Millions Sales, purchased LOT 1313 at the GOLD COAST Summer Racehorse Sale. By Street Boss, he is a 3yo Brown / Black Gelding named GUMNUTS from KOALA BEAR. Offered as part of the Godolphin Dispersal Sale, GUMNUTS is a lightly raced 3yo who has raced on 5 occasions and has his hoof on the till.

Following the huge $10.25 million Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday, the action switched to the sales complex with the concluding three hours of sales action to complete the 5 days of the Premier Book One. On the racetrack we achieved excellent results over the 2 Day carnival. Day 1 YAO DASH was successful WINNING the $250,000 Magic Millions Rising Star banking $145,000. Day 2 we were so close but just missed out when ELABORATE banked $90,000 when finishing 3rd in the $1m Subzero over 2400m and YAO DASH banked another $45,000 when he was 0.6 length away when 4th in the $1m Magic Millions Cup over 1400m. Whilst TEXCEL picked up $2,500 when close up in the $250,000 Magic Millions Maiden 1200m and DECROUX picked up $10,000 when he wasn’t far away in the same race as ELABORATE,.

It’s starting to sound like we are filling our stables in 2021 like "Noah’s Ark" as the yearlings keep joining us "two by two by two by two." Dynamic Syndications added a second purchase on DAY 4 of the 2021 Magic Millions Yearling Sales when LOT 766 became a new participant of our DYNAMIC TEAM joining his Half-Brother and his Half-Sister who currently wear the renowned Dynamic Syndications silks. By the hottest sire in Australia, the well-balanced Colt is by WRITTEN TYCOON from the superb sprinting racemare SENSIBLE LADY (by Street Sense).

Day 4 Magic Millions and as the saying goes: “Every champion has a story.” Magic Millions owner GERRY HARVEY and Dynamic Syndications have a long-standing business relationship that goes to back when we purchased Golden Slipper Winner POLAR SUCCESS followed by Cox Plate Winner SAVABEEL from the expert breeder, both through his Magic Millions Sales. We always inspect Gerry’s draft of yearlings. On Day 4 at the Magic Millions, one of his lots to enter the ring was LOT 700 - a Brown Filly by champion sire LONHRO from the regally bred English mare REMIND ME (GB) (by Dansili).

Day 3 at the Magic Millions we didn’t have many on our list. However, it’s this due diligence which is your quality assurance, and we will never compromise our hard-earned reputation for racetrack success that has us as industry leaders with a 91.5% Winners to Runners Strike Rate with 248 Individual Winners from 271 Individual Runners. We were still committed to bid upon three (3) yearlings and whilst one of these sold well over our ceiling price, we were successful when buying two (2) high quality colts as back-to-back lots.

When the planets align its magical. Day 2 at the 2021 Magic Millions Yearling Sale has proven to be exactly that. Having purchased two (2) fabulous fillies on Day 1, then Day 2 started with a bang when we grabbed Lot 204 a cracking colt by Fastnet Rock we were rightfully pleased with ourselves but we hadn’t finished shopping and we were keen to add other special colt if we could – and we did!

Dynamic Syndications have added a special colt into our Team on Day 2 at the Magic Millions as we struck in the first hour to buy LOT 204, a fabulous Bay Colt by champion sire FASTNET ROCK x DANCE MIX (by Hennessy) foaled 15 October 2019 from Bhima Thoroughbreds (as agent). The gavel fell on our bid of $210,000 + GST we set a new record price for Dynamic Syndications to pay at auction for any colt, and this price now matches our previous top price paid in 2020 when we secured an I Am Invincible Filly. We regard him as one of the best colts we have ever had the opportunity to take home from a yearling sale

All up across the opening day over $35 million was traded on 142 lots sold at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale for a record Day 1 average price of over $248,000 and a Median of $170,000. The clearance rate of 85 per cent bettered last year's opening day figure of 83 per cent.
