Fabulous FILLIES Looking Superb in Spring Sun

It’s only mid-September but the wonderful weather we have been receiving over the past few weeks has seen blossoms forming in fertile Spring gardens and on the Horse Husbandry front, our recently turned 2yo fillies are in full bloom, as they continue to thrive under the care and guidance of Australian Olympian Shane Rose at his Bimbadeen Park property. We proudly show their most recent photos taken on Wednesday 16 September by our photographer Amanda Wood, who went out to Bimbadeen Park with Adam Watt from Dynamic, to capture their progression and development.

Savabeel x O’Reilly Cross Produces Another Stakes Winner as Mo'unga wins Dulcify

Mo'unga went into everyone’s black book with his storming performance to win at Newcastle at his most recent start and the 3yo son of Savabeel was favoured to keep his record at a perfect three for three with his black-type debut in Saturday’s Listed Dulcify Quality (1500m) at Rosehill. He subsequently completed the task impressively, with a turn of foot reserved for quality horses and in the process became the super sire’s 101st Stakes Winner.

First Crop Sire EXTREME CHOICE Produces His Second 2yo Trial Winner

The first 2yo trials for Sydney this season took place at Randwick on Tuesday morning with two heats over 735m. Both heats were won by the progeny of first season sires. The quickest of the two heats was won by an EXTREME CHOICE Filly named Avaricious, who showed speed from a wide gate to lead and when asked to keep going by Jay Ford got clear of her rival Medad (by Maurice) to win by a length and a half in 43.36 seconds.

Newgate Farm’s dual Group 1 winner and now exciting new sire EXTREME CHOICE had a highly promising 2yo trial winner in New Zealand on Thursday at Te Teko (Rotorua) with an unnamed two-year-old colt showing abundant natural pace to win impressively. He jumped smartly to lead and although wanting to lay out around the turn, he travelled strongly to the line without being pushed along, to win his 640m heat by a length on a Heavy 11 surface.​
