The Average on Day 2 was up again, reaching a staggering $287,000 ($251,000) (up 12.5%) whilst the Median price jumped accordingly to $227,500 ($180,000) (up 20.9%) showing the incredible depth of the middle market as demand to get on board the bloodstock express continues to gain momentum, with shell shocked buyers coming to grips with a 20% increase in bloodstock prices on what were previously strong results of 2021.

The 2022 Magic Millions Yearling Sales kicked off with a bang at the Gold Coast with strong competition for the quality lots on offer. The global standing of the Magic Millions Raceday is set to be enhanced in 2023 with the introduction of two (2) new “world-first” innovative races with an added investment of an additional $1.5 million, taking the prizemoney to $11.75 million across the main day. From 2023, the meeting will expand to a 10-race card with the addition of two new races: Magic Millions $1m The Syndicate (1200m, 3YOs & up) & Magic Millions $500,000 The Debut (900m, 2YO). As a result, the 2023 edition of the Magic Millions Raceday will be the first raceday in Australia to stage eight (8) $1million-dollar plus races.
