TIJUANA’S sire AMERICAN PHAROAH is doing a massive job in the hotly contested Australian Third Crop Sires Premiership and on Friday night at Moonee Valley, his son TIJUANA (3c American Pharoah x Mexican Rose, by Volksraad) won his second stakes race with victory in the Group 2 Bill Stutt Stakes. American Pharoah, has 30 stakes winners and 58 stakes performers from his three crops. That group includes six (6) Group 1 winners in the U.S., Japan, and France.

Godolphin’s ASTERN colt "AFT CABIN" easily won Saturday’s $300,000 Group 3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield, which was run in atrocious conditions. With Jamie Kah in the saddle, AFT CABIN looked the winner after the field travelled just 200 metres. AFT CABIN took control of the race shortly after straightening. He kept up a relentless gallop to defeat Meridius by 3.5 lengths, with Amenable a further 2 lengths back in third. AFT CABIN took his record to 4 starts: 2 Wins, 2 Seconds & $256,800. AFT CABIN is the 6th stakes winner for Gr1 Golden Rose Stakes winner ASTERN who stands at Darley Stud.
