SHALAA SHOOTS to TOP of Australian 3rd Crop Sires Premiership

The fascinating battle across all Sires premierships is that of the Big Boys fighting out the THIRD CROP SIRES. There were 2 big improvers last weekend: SHALAA has shot to the LEAD after his 4yo daughter SHALSTAR won at Randwick. He has jumped to $787,248 to the lead. Also, he leads the Top Sire by Strike Rate with 26.3%. The biggest mover was ASTERN, with wins by AFT CABIN and BRIGANTINE. ASTERN jumped 2 places to second with Earnings rising to $762,823. CAPITALIST had a quiet weekend and as a result slipped two places down to Third. Whilst the fascinating play is between MAURICE (4th) & AMERICAN PHAROAH (5th) both with 9 from 37.

Coolmore Excitement Machine JUSTIFY Flys at Randwick 2YO Trials

Off the back of a Big Saturday in the USA for the Boom First Crop Sire JUSTIFY, where he kept his momentum rolling with two (2) new Winners, one at Pimlico when debutant How Lucky scored, bring up 13 for the sire. An hour later debutant Gandolfini took JUSTIFY’s tally to 14 Winners. Then on Monday morning at Royal Randwick, it was the Southern Hemisphere’s turn to see JUSTIFY progeny heading to the sport and they didn’t let anyone down with two (2) outstanding efforts by his progeny.
