Coolmore Stud’s USA based operation Ashford Farm have announced they will not be sending to Australia their superstar Northern Hemisphere Sires AMERICAN PHAROAH (USA) and JUSTIFY (USA) this breeding season, with the official decision taken to “rest both stallions” with a possible view to their return in 2023. Both sires are “white hot” in the Northern Hemisphere, so it doesn’t take much reading between the lines to conclude that the Irish based powerhouse consider their US based operation’s “breed shaping” assets “far too valuable” to be risked shuttling to Australia in 2022.
