FRECKLE ROCK – our 4yo gelding (Fastnet Rock ex Freckle Face) faced the starter for the third time of his racing career and won with authority, as a $1.28 favourite should, when claiming Race 2 at Scone on Tuesday, the CALYX @ COOLMORE AUSTRALIA Class 2 Handicap (1600m). “BIG FRECKLE” under the silky-smooth horse husbandry and training of CIARON MAHER RACING has taken his career record to 3 starts: 2 Wins – 1 Second and $33,545 with the promise of far better race victories to come.

Returning to Australia for his fifth consecutive season this spring, USA Racing hero AMERICAN PHAROAH sired another two year-old stakes-winner in the USA when speedy colt TRUST OUR JOURNEY (2c American Pharoah x Tribal Music, by AP Warrior) scored a tenacious win in the $100,000 Colonial Downs Rosie’s Stakes 5 ½ f (1100m) on turf. That was followed by winners in NZ and Japan over the weekend.

The owners of WINX issued a statement recently revealing their champion mare has been given the green light to head back to the breeding barn in 2021, and PIERRO has been chosen to be her date. Winx retired to stud in 2019, but her first covering by I Am Invincible resulted in a tragic outcome, with the mare losing the foal by I Am Invincible and, in that process, very nearly lost her own life. Responding to the news release, Coolmore Stud releaseda statement confirming their champion sire PIERRO as WINX partner for 2021.

The Listed MVRC Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley, was won by ZOUZARELLA who zoomed to a powerful two length victory. Zouzarella became the 24th stakes-winner for her sire Zoustar, who stands at Widden Stud in 2021 at a service fee of $154,000. Zouzarella became the 12th Stakes Winner by Zoustar from Danehill (by Danzig) line broodmares of the 24 Stakes Winners by the sire. That’s a 50% Strike Rate which is incredible.

On Wednesday the 1st September, it was the first day of Spring which heralds in the start of High Quality Racing. It also means that the new crop 2yo’s are being prepared for their racing careers. Out at Bimbadeen Park, where 3-time Australian Olympic Medallist SHANE ROSE applies his craft to our horses. Shane is polishing our young horses to be tomorrow’s champions. Shane at this stage of the year, is re-educating our 2yo’s to the expectations of rider and of trainer demands.

Talented 4yo Mare NARRATED (by SNITZEL from FICTIONAL ACCOUNT (IRE)) continues to build on her career resume when scoring her second race win this preparation, winning at Mudgee on Sunday. NARRATED has now taken her career tally to 7 starts = 2:2:2 with Prizemoney of $57,060 including two BOBS Bonuses. she is a daughter of Champion Sire SNITZEL from the wonderful racemare FICTIONAL ACCOUNT (IRE) – the Champion Staying Mare of Ireland. The Ciaron Maher Racing Team at Warwick Farm have presented our horse in excellent order, to allow Team Dynamic to place her to advantage for her owners.
