FRANKLY SAVVY won Race 3 the Jockey’s Celebration Maiden Handicap 1300m in 1:21.53 with a last 600m in 38.90 secs. Despite being inexperienced, undone in racecraft and match fitness, the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott “Bone and Muscle” style of conditioning came to the fore, as our horse powered away to record an eased down and ears pricked victory by a widening 2.14 lengths.
