A big weekend with 3 Stakes Winners for terrific young sire PIERRO. Fresh off a stakes winning double at Randwick on Saturday, PIERRO was at it again in Victoria on Sunday when his son OCTABELLO aided by a perfectly-timed ride from Noel Callow saw the Mick Price-trained gelding win the $350,000 Listed TAB Cranbourne Cup (2025m).

Exciting young Coolmore sire Rubick sired his first stakes horse at Randwick a fortnight earlier on 29th September when Krameric ran home strongly for third in the Group 3 ATC Breeders Plate. On Saturday the 13th October at Caulfield, Rubick produced his second stakes horse when 2yo filly Biscara finished runner-up in the Listed MRC Inglis Debutante Stakes over 1000m.

Exciting young Second Season Sire EPAULETTE has seen two of his daughters earn Black-Type over three successive weekends after last start stakes winner MERYL added further black type to her pedigree page when running a courageous third in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes Gr3 over 1200m at Caulfield on Saturday.

Golden Slipper winning sire Pierro posted his 10th Stakes Winner and recorded a stakes double at Randwick on Saturday with initial Black Type success for I Like it Easy in the Reginald Allen 1400m LR and further Stakes success for top class stallion prospect Pierata.

TELEPLAY resumed from a spell at Ballarat on Friday for Caulfield trainer Mick Price and rider Michael Dee and the lightly raced 4yo mare was in a different class to her opposition, when she strolled around under hands and heels with less effort than she would give in morning trackwork, to win the Hygain Winners Choice Fillies and Mares Benchmark 70 Handicap.

This is the second stakes performer for the exciting new sire OLYMPIC GLORY.
