Inglis Easter Day 1 Action Sees ZOUSTAR Sizzle

Widden Stud’s exceptional stallion ZOUSTAR was the star of the show on Day 1 of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, by providing the top two lots and four of the top six lots on a day where blue chip fillies rose to the fore. Day 1 ended with a gross of $63,975,000, average of $390,091 and median of $300,000. The Day 1 top lot was a Zoustar x Prompt Response filly from Widden Stud, which sold for $2.2m, making her the most expensive yearling sold in the Southern Hemisphere this year so far.

Zoustar had a productive Saturday with two (2) new stakes-winners growing his tally firstly to 50 Stakes Winners then his 51st Stakes Winner shortly after. Starting off with the Ciaron Maher trained two-year-old colt Growing Empire, winning the Listed MVRC Moonee Valley Pearl, and that was followed later in the day in Adelaide by four-year-old mare Climbing Star, who took out the Listed SAJC Matrice Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.
