Dynamic Duo training partnership CIARON MAHER and DAVID EUSTACE kept the winners flowing for their owners on Day 2 of THE CHAMPIONSHIPS at Royal Randwick and in the process displayed their horse husbandry and training skills and versatility by being able to claim the PERCY SYKES Stakes being the feature 2yo event with AWAY GAME and then claimed the feature Staying event the SYDNEY CUP with ETAH JAMES.

A handsome bay first foal colt out of champion 3yo filly FIRST SEAL has topped the Australian Easter Yearling sale at $1.8 million. Coolmore Stud boss Tom Magnier was the successful bidder for the colt by champion sire Snitzel from the champion filly after a determined bidding duel. This pedigree is one of the most desirable in the Australian Stud Book and Dynamic Syndications were delighted to see this result considering we have a wonderful mare TELEPLAY who is closely related to FIRST SEAL.

The training partnership have had a Group 1 winner three weeks in a row at Rosehill and on Day One of The Championships at Randwick, Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott scored with their exciting three-year-old ENTENTE who dictated all the way to claim the Gr3 Carbine Club Stakes over a mile. They look to keep their winning streak rolling on Day 2 of The Championships with these Magnificent Seven: Shout The Bar, Con Te Partiro, Yao Dash, Dawn Passage, Hush Writer, Vangelic & Postcode.

We had a genuine affinity with and achieved great satisfaction from the result of this year’s ATC Derby as QUICK THINKER crossed the line ahead of ZEBROWSKI in second place.

Dynamic Syndication 4yo mare LOCHITA (LONHRO x INCHITA) recorded her 3rd Win in 7 starts when she was dominant in the Thompson Motor Body Builders Benchmark 58 Handicap over 1600m on a glue like Heavy 8 surface at Taree on Saturday. LOCHITA is in the care of top young Newcastle Trainer JASON DEAMER and was ridden by leading apprentice Samantha Clenton.

Confession time - after all these years as racing industry participants, until last Saturday we had never watched the Channel 7 free-to-air broadcast of the Races. Why? Well the answer is simple. As an industry participant, most Saturday’s we are at the races, and when we are not trackside we need to have Foxtel so we can watch the races on Sky Channel or Racing.com and both these dedicated Racing Channels do an excellent job as a dedicated industry resource, showing wall-to-wall racing seven days a week.

When Australian Olympian Shane Rose, owner of Bimbadeen Park tells us that we have a horse that finished “Dux of the Class” naturally we get excited. So, imagine how upbeat we are to hear from Shane Rose that our latest two yearlings to complete his breaking-in and early education phases are both “outstanding athletes and he can’t split them.” Then he offers us a report card stating that they were “both rated 9.5 out of 10.”

In 2019 the Golden Slipper Carnival could have been renamed the “Chris Waller and James Cummings Show” as that duo dominated the carnival winning 7 of the 8 Group 1 race between them, but in 2020 the wheel turned significantly and it was all about Gai and Adrian. Of the 8 Group 1 races run at the Golden Slipper carnival at Rosehill Waterhouse-Bott were dominant with their 3 wins while won a Gr1 race went to John Thompson, David Pfieffer , William Haggas, Richard Litt and Chris Waller.
